...from A to G

On August 7th everyone's favorite Cajun prog rock band will be back at the City Club in Houma, LA after more than a year's break. This time joined by special guests Shoulders of Giants, AG will be delivering some of the hardest hitting progressive music this side of the Prime Meridian. Come out and have a few beers, share a few laughs and you may walk away with some cool new music for your iPod. After all, we just can't spell debauchery without U ;)

Our friend Ron at Prognaut.com was also kind enough to write a review for live_RoSfest_2009 DVD. You can find it here.

Our friend Jill at USA Progressive was kind enough to review the live_RoSfest_2009 DVD. You can find it here.

The audio from the band's RoSfest performance has been released on iTunes. The entire concert can be downloaded for $7.99. It is also available at most other online retailers.

The band has announced plans to release a DVD entitled Abigail's Ghost Live_RoSfest_2009 in January of next year. Attention all you AG fans: you can now keep up with the band and their pseudo-busy schedule on Twitter. That's right, they've finally caved and got a Twitter account. Now everyone can look forward to some sardonic remarks from the band's resident smartass Kenneth Wilson. Also, if you are on Facebook, you should show your love for AG by going here and clicking "Become a fan" :)

Andrew Kauz at Progressive Melodies was kind enough to take a listen to the new record. He ended up writing and outstanding review of d_letion that you can read and comment on here.

Jill Hughes interviewed the entire band after their performance at the Rites of Spring Festival on May 2, 2009. They talk about how Abibgail's Ghost came about and the new album, d_letion. There is a transcription and some audio from that interview here.

Trading the lush synth arrangements of their debut Selling Insincerity (2007) for thick, guitar-laden choruses and blistering solos, Abigail’s Ghost has been touched by the naughty side (and seem to be enjoying it). With borderline-seedy lyrics, walls of distorted guitars, and a dab of New Orleans flavor, 2009’s d_letion promises absolute pleasure. Get your regularly priced copy today at the AG Store.

Catch the exclusive digital release of d_letion on eMusic a full two weeks before street date. Do the band a favor and leave a nice review or a 5 star rating ;)

The band will be headlining a show at the City Club of Houma on May 15th. Opening bands include Within Reason and Cemetary Party. Admission is $7. Advance copies of d_letion will be sold at the merch booth.

Just a reminder that Abigail's Ghost will be playing at this year's RosFest at the Keswick Theater in Glenside, PA. AG will be opening for Frost and Lazuli. Tickets are available HERE

The long awaited followup to 2007's Selling Insincerity is finally available for pre-order at the AG Store. Pre-Order price reflects signed copy and inclusion in liner credits if order is placed before indicated date. The record will be regularly priced upon release, June 23rd.

As of late, the members of Abigail's Ghost have been feverishly writing music for their next studio album, due for an early 2009 release. While track numbers and titles are unknown at this point, we do know that the writing this time around will be more focused on dark themes and presentations, much as it was toward the end of the SI cycle. As details become available about the new record, they will be posted in the News section of AG.com.
